I am currently loading up Baldur's Gate 3 on my other PC as I write this...

Yup it's the latest release one,a lthough it's been out a good couple of years now.
Cool! I remember the older versions from back in the day.
Strangely Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 are now getting a scheduled re-vamp/up-grade, don't know when they'll be out though.

I have already got the original BG1 & 2 from the late nineties. I will certainly have a look-see at the re-vamped versions when they become available.
Cool! All of my games now are digital. We don't even own any disks or CDs at all besides music I burned.
You are quite right. I haven't brought a game on CD for years now. Everything is on-line and downlaod (nearly always through Steam or else Matrix/Slitherine)

Steam is easy to use, thank goodness. Imagine my horror when my account got hacked a coupel of years ago! Fortunately the Adminstrators were able to sort it out.
Yeah you mentioned that before. I should update my Steam password. I use passwords of 80-100 characters. 😂

Awesome! Do you play GTA On-line? I have it but never could get into it. I mainly play PvP on-line shooters. But I can't play Call of Duty or Battlefield anymore which kinda sucks....

I've never got GTA working properly on any of my PC's. Biggest waste of money ever IMO! Just can not get the Rockstar server to work for any length of time. I log on to it (in this country you need to be on it in order to play the game through Steam) and either it is unavailable, or even if I get on to it and start the game, I then get thrown off the Server within a coupel of minutes.
There are some problems with access to the Rockstar Server in my part of England which they have acknowledged, on more than one occasion, but have never fully resolved. :-(

I played GTA Online a long time ago. I also like competitive games. Gears E-Day is probably what I'm most excited about rn
I think I played an earlier Gears on the PS3, or maybe PS4 (which we briefly owned). Should have kept it, but we just couldn't justify $400 plus two wireless controllers (this was like 12 years ago). 😏
I think Gears has always been exclusive to Xbox. They might've ported over one of the games to PS but I don't think they did. You should play them if you can. Gears 1 - 3 are absolutely incredible games. I played the E Day beta and it was so good. It will be on PC and its cross plat. If you're interested in getting it, then I highly recommend it. I'll play with ya :P Imma be grinding that game like crazy for a while.

$70 base game I think. And yeah, that's mostly what I'll be playing. Some Horde mode too.

Uhhh, probs not large scale. Beta was 4v4. The other games were mostly 5v5 if I remember correctly. It's third person tactical high octane sweat lord shit.
When does it come out? I can't play COD or BF anymore, and I hear Gears works great on my OS!

I do a lot more than just game. And actually, this is the first game that would test my rig since I bought it in April of 2023! I'll give it a shot. Steam offers refunds within 2 days and less than 2 hours of gameplay!
Of late been re-visiting'Order of Battle : WW2' a lot. It's an old game (released by Matrix and Slitherine) but still a lot of fun. Really teaches you tactics and strategy

Major game companies rather than indies are AAA games. It basically has to do with production budget.
Ah OK thank you for the clarification. Matrix/Slitherine tend to develop and sell their own games, they used to be separate if similar but one brought the other out years ago.

Yup, as Otto said. I do enjoy indie games a lot, but I'm into graphics. I didn't buy a high-end gaming computer to play something that looks like it's from the original Nintendo. lol

Recently played both 'Order of Battle' as well as 'Panzer Corps II' on Steam, mainly in order to comapre the two.
PC II definitely looks better, but I would say that 'Order of Battle' gets my vote at the end of the day for playability, realism and also flexibility.

I just tried Arma III. It sucked. hehe I still haven't found a suitable replacement for recent Battlefield or Call of Duty games. They won't work on my system after requiring a hardware kernel setting for anti-cheating. And I hear people still constantly cheat.
