talk therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ("talk" therapy) didn't do a damn thing for me (almost 12 years worth). I feel like my main issue is brain chemicals.

I'm also an empath and am *extremely* sensitive, easily feeling others' emotions. This probably doesn't help. 😱

Yeah, Behavioral Therapy doesn't do a damned thing for chemical imbalances in the brain.

Q: How many psychologists does it take to change a light bulb
A: Only one, but it takes 10 years and the light bulb has to really want to change.

Yes agreed. I'm fucking living proof. My old shrink even had the audacity to proclaim that I'm "not as anxious as I used to be" and have become "complacent". Yeah, because I wasn't working or going to school, the two fucking most stressful things in my entire life.

When I decided to stop seeing him, he simply sent me his bill demanding payment or he'd send me to collections.

Gee, thanks.

I have mild, occasional depression, when things are bad, but Buproprion helps a LOT!

I think that a balance of the RIGHT drug (a friend of mine spent DECADES trying meds for her bi-polar before she found the right one)m and behavior change works best.

I take Zyprexa (magic) and Zoloft (yes). Works wonders for me. Still can't work, though, so I draw a check...
