Did anyone own any older game systems? I had an Atari 2600. It was fucking awesome! Some favorite games include: Pitfall 2, E.T., Adventure, Air/Sea Battle, and some cool racing games.
I also breifly owned the original Nintendo but only had a couple games like RC Pro Am, Friday the 13th, and some others.
I've owned a couple of older game systems, but I owned them when they weren't old 😂 My first one was an Atari 2600, I also owned an Atari 5200, at that point I switched over to PC games and never went back. I've always had more than one PC connected in a network also, so when I was younger would invite friends over to play networked games. That of course has given way to Internet connected games, so networked PCS are no longer an advantage.
It's kind of a loss though, at least there is human interaction if everybody is in the same house you don't get if you are only interacting with disembodied voices over an Internet connection.

I first started playing on-line games in like 1998. My favorite was PvP shooters. I played Quake, Quake 2, and Quake 3 Arena. Even had voice chat and no lag on dial-up! It was fucking awesome!!
To this day, on-line PvP shooters are still my favorite computer games. Sadly, I can no longer play COD or BF tho, since they require TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. My OS (Linux Ubuntu Studio 26) doesn't support that. Fuck it, the advantages of this OS are so much more over Windows 11 that I'll never go back!
